Mayday (also known as Air Emergency in the United States, and Air Crash Investigation in the United Kingdom and other parts of the world) is a documentation television program produced by Cineflix in Canada. It is aired on Discovery Channel and National Geographic Channel. This documentary investigates many air crashes in modern history after the introduction of the black box flight recorders. It reveals events that led up to each disaster, the causes of the accidents and the measures recommended in the report by the NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) or the investigating Commission to prevent a similar incident happening again. It features re-enactments, interviews, testimony, computer-generated imagery, and in some episodes, CVR or Cockpit Voice Recordings to reconstruct the sequence of events to the audiences.

will you post the links of season 5?
Thanks a lot .
I've flown before not much and not too far, but I don't think I will ever again. These stories are unbelievable, do you have the actual CVR recordings? I can't believe people continue to fly each day on old aircrafts being pushed to their limits. They need to regulate air manufacturing standards and put safety above money. They need to completely scrape airplanes which have ANY malfunctioning recorded during their life. People you are gambling away your life every time you step foot on a plane.
Came across this blog while writing about plane crashes in my own blog, and I couldn't help but noticing your comment, Patrick.
Do you know that you are gambling away your life everytime you step foot in a car too? :) In fact, car accidents are more frequent than plane crashes. You'll find statistics online to support this. I think the difference that makes the plane crash seem so much worse, is that much more people are involved at the same time. Media also reports more or less every single plane crash or incident, and it does not tell you about all the car accidents from around the world.
However, I do agree that many accidents could have been avoided with proper safety checks, and that this should definately always be first priority for any company.
And to the blogger: Good post, I was looking for the Aloha Airlines flight 243 :)
